Built by a small team, shaped by the community

Vowen is built and maintained by a two-person team. We ship updates frequently and we listen carefully. The features you see in the app come directly from conversations and requests in the channels below.

Live discussion, bug reports, and feature requests

Release announcements and product updates
Feedback in any of these channels is read and triaged. We do not build in isolation: Featurebase requests, Discord conversations, and bug reports are how we decide what ships next. To see how often we ship, check the public changelog.
Pro users get custom feature requests delivered within 1–2 weeks as part of the licence — submit yours on Featurebase or Discord and tag it.

How updates reach you

Vowen checks for updates automatically once per day. When a new version is available, you will see an update banner inside the settings window. Updates are not installed silently. The banner shows what is in the release, and you decide when to download and apply it.
1

See the banner

A banner appears in the settings window with the new version number and a summary of changes.
2

Download

Click the banner to start the download. You can keep using Vowen while it downloads in the background.
3

Restart to install

When the download completes, the banner updates with a restart prompt. Restart Vowen to apply the new version.
You can also trigger a manual check from Settings > General > Check for Updates.

What’s New after an update

After Vowen restarts on a new version, a “What’s New” modal highlights the changes in that release. The full history is always available on the public changelog.
Have an update question that isn’t answered here? See the Updates FAQ.
