What Vowen costs

Pro is not a subscription. There is no monthly or annual plan, and no recurring charge.
There is no free trial. Instead of a trial, Pro comes with a 14-day refund window: buy it, use it properly, and ask for your money back inside 14 days if it is not for you.

About Enterprise

Enterprise is a sales conversation, not a different build of the app. Enterprise customers run the same Pro build everyone else runs, and there is no separate enterprise entitlement that unlocks extra features in the app. An Enterprise conversation covers commercial ground rather than technical:
  • Volume pricing for teams
  • Centralised billing, custom contracts, and invoicing
  • Tailored onboarding
  • Priority response from the team
  • Security and compliance requirements discussed case by case
Items such as SSO/SAML, HIPAA, audit logs, a dedicated success manager, and a custom SLA are listed on the public pricing page as available on request. They are commitments to discuss, not switches that already exist in the app. Do not plan a rollout around them without talking to us first.

Free plan limits

Three limits apply to free accounts, and Vowen enforces all three.
Free accounts can keep 10 meeting notes. This is a cap on how many notes exist, not on how many hours you record.
The 10 manual transcriptions are a lifetime total, not a monthly allowance. It does not reset. Dictation itself is unlimited on every plan; this cap only covers audio and video files you feed to the Transcribe page.
Deleting history is a Pro feature. It stops an exhausted free account from deleting old items to recycle quota slots. Combined with the lifetime transcription cap, it means a free account that has used all 10 transcriptions cannot free them up again by deleting them.
There is no hour limit on meeting recording, on any plan. The limit that applies to free accounts is the 10 saved notes above.

Licensing & activation

How the licence works

Vowen has no user accounts. A Pro licence is a key, and nothing else. There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile. Buying Pro emails you a key; activating it in the app is the whole process.

Buy a licence

Purchase from the Vowen website. You get a licence key by email.

Open Settings > Account

The plan card at the top of the section has the key field.

Paste the key and activate

Vowen registers this machine against the key. Pro features unlock immediately.
The key is stored encrypted on your machine and revalidated quietly in the background. If the network is unavailable, Vowen keeps your Pro state rather than locking you out.

Moving your licence to another machine

An activation is tied to the machine that used it, so getting a new laptop means releasing the old one first.

Deactivate on the old machine

Open Settings > Account and choose Deactivate. Confirm when asked. This releases the activation slot and returns that machine to the free plan.

Activate on the new machine

Install Vowen, open Settings > Account, and paste the same key.
Deactivate before you wipe or sell a machine. A machine you no longer have access to still holds its activation slot, and releasing it afterwards means contacting support.
Billing, invoices, and payment method changes are handled by our payments provider through the customer portal. Settings > Account links to it.

No. Pro is a one-time $49 purchase for a lifetime licence. No recurring charges, and all future updates are included.
No. The free plan is not time-limited, so you can use Vowen indefinitely without paying, and Pro comes with a 14-day refund window if it turns out not to suit you.
No. What is free today stays free. New advanced features may land on Pro.
No. There are no accounts. Free needs nothing at all, and Pro needs only a licence key.
Three. Activation is checked by our payments provider rather than by the app, so your current activations are shown in the customer portal, linked from Settings > Account. To move your licence to a fourth machine, deactivate one of the existing three first. This is a property of the licence rather than of Cloud Sync, which does not cap how many devices you connect.
